Divyang Assistive Devices Distribution Camp Held in Kotra

Udaipur: In compliance with the state government’s budget announcement, a large assistive devices distribution camp for persons with disabilities was organized at the Kotra sub-division headquarters. The camp was jointly conducted by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, the district administration, and Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, with the aim of improving the quality of life for दिव्यांगजन (persons with disabilities). A total of 110 beneficiaries were supported through this initiative.

Sub-Divisional Officer Kapil Kothari attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Joint Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Girish Bhatnagar, presided over the program. Special guests included former Pradhan Sugna Devi, Development Officer Shambhuram Garasia, social worker Ranjit Singh, Himmat Tawad, and Suresh Kher.

During the camp, specialists assessed the disabilities of beneficiaries and distributed necessary assistive devices such as tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, smart canes, calipers, and crutches based on individual needs.

Addressing the beneficiaries, SDO Kapil Kothari emphasized the importance of obtaining a Unique Disability ID (UDID) card to ensure smooth access to various government welfare schemes. Social Security Officer Praveen Paneri conducted the proceedings and provided detailed information about different public welfare schemes of the department.

The technical team from Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, including Deepak Mehta, Rajendra Sen, Bhanwar Kanwar, and Arjun Soni, extended their support during the camp. At the end of the program, Junior Accountant Premshankar Meghwal expressed gratitude to all the guests and participants.
