Krish, Hitesh Shine as Match-Winners in Mewar Tourism Cup 2026
Udaipur: High-energy night matches at the Field Club marked another exciting day in the Mewar Tourism Cup 2026, as hotel teams delivered impressive performances.
In the first encounter, Taj Lake Palace secured a convincing 7-wicket victory over Aurika Hotel. Batting first, Aurika posted a modest total of 124 runs in 20 overs, with Rahul Joshi contributing 33 runs. Taj Lake Palace bowlers Akhilendra Singh and L.S. Malviya led the attack with three wickets each.
Chasing the target comfortably, Taj Lake Palace reached the score in just 12.5 overs. Krish played a stunning knock of 59 runs, supported by Jitendra’s 28. Despite efforts from Naresh Sindhal and Aamir, who picked up two wickets each for Aurika, the target was chased with ease. Krish was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant half-century.
In another match, The Leela Palace dominated Fairmont Hotel with a massive 65-run victory. Batting first, The Leela Palace put up a formidable total, powered by Hitesh’s unbeaten 116 — the tournament’s first century — along with Raunak Goswami’s unbeaten 38.
In response, Fairmont Hotel managed only 135 runs in 20 overs. Mohanlal Meena fought hard with an unbeaten 76, but the target proved too steep. Vikram (3 wickets) and Samarth (2 wickets) starred with the ball for The Leela Palace.
Hitesh was named Man of the Match for his exceptional century.
Organizing Secretary Yaduraj Singh Krishnawat informed that the tournament features 10 leading hotel teams from the tourism and hospitality sector, along with 4 additional teams, making it a vibrant sporting event in the city.
