Udaipur, A magical evening of nostalgia and music unfolded at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, as a live musical night celebrating the iconic songs of Indra Kumar transported the audience back to the golden era of the 90s.
The event, organized on the occasion of the 73rd birth anniversary of Late Mrs. Indira Murdia, was jointly hosted by Indira Enterprises, Kashti Foundation, and USM Group.As Indra Kumar took the stage, the crowd erupted in applause, welcoming him with immense enthusiasm. Sharing anecdotes from his cinematic journey, he captivated the audience with untold stories from Bollywood, seamlessly blending them with live performances of his film’s hit songs.
Artists brought alive evergreen classics like “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” from the movie Beta and “Mujhe Neend Na Aaye” from Dil, creating a wave of nostalgia among the audience. Songs like “O Priya Priya”, “Aankhon Mein Basaya”, and “Kisi Din Banoongi Main Raja Ki Rani” further elevated the musical experience. Hits from films like Ishq and Masti added energy and charm to the evening.A major highlight of the event was the electrifying performance by the Harmony of Pines Police Band. The 15-member band from Himachal Pradesh, including two women personnel, delivered soul-stirring patriotic renditions such as “Mera Rang De Basanti Chola” and “Sandese Aate Hain”, filling the venue with pride and emotion.
The band, established in 1996, has grown into a nationally recognized ensemble, performing on prestigious platforms, including television shows and international stages.
The evening also ensured comfort for attendees with well-organized valet parking facilities, allowing seamless participation for the large gathering.
