90s Magic in Udaipur: Indra Kumar’s Stories Captivate, Harmony of Pines Wins Hearts

Udaipur: A live musical night based on the superhit songs of filmmaker Indra Kumar brought the magic of the 90s alive at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal on Friday. The evening turned into a nostalgic celebration as Indra Kumar shared fascinating anecdotes from his film journey, while artists performed iconic songs associated with his films.

A major highlight of the event was the performance by the Harmony of Pines Police Band from Himachal Pradesh, which received a grand welcome from the audience.

The event was organized on the second day in celebration of the 73rd birth anniversary of Late Mrs. Indira Murdia, under the joint aegis of Indira Enterprises, Kashti Foundation, and USM Group. The audience was welcomed by Dr. Ajay Murdia, Neetij Murdia, Kshitij Murdia, Kashti Foundation founder Mrs. Shraddha Murdia, Aastha Murdia, and Urvashi Singhvi from USM Group.

As soon as Indra Kumar took the stage, fans greeted him with loud cheers and applause. He shared memorable stories from his Bollywood journey, keeping the audience engaged throughout the evening.

Artists performed a series of hit songs, including “Dhak-Dhak Karne Laga” from Beta and “Mujhe Neend Na Aaye” from Dil, receiving enthusiastic responses from the packed auditorium. The performance continued with “O Priya Priya”, “Akhiyon Mein Basaya”, and “Kisi Din Banoongi Main Raja Ki Rani” from Raja. Songs like “Neend Churayi Meri” from Ishq and “Dil De Diya Hai” from Masti also added to the excitement.

Patriotic Performances Win Hearts

Another special attraction of the evening was the performance by the Harmony of Pines Police Band, known for their appearance on the TV show Hunarbaaz. The 15-member team, including two women, performed for the first time in Udaipur and impressed the audience with patriotic songs like “Mera Rang De Basanti Chola” and “Sandese Aate Hain”, filling the atmosphere with a sense of national pride.

Established in 1996, the Himachal Police Orchestra Band has come a long way despite limited resources in its early days. Today, it is recognized nationally and has performed on several prestigious platforms, including television and international stages.

Well-Organized Event with Public Convenience

To ensure convenience for attendees, valet parking arrangements were made at the venue for the second day as well, providing relief to visitors from parking hassles.
