SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND HOSTS SEMINAR ON ‘ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AS A FORCE MULTIPLIER - STRATEGIC AWARENESS AND RESPONSIBLE PREPAREDNESS’

Jaipur:  The Gyan Shakti Think Tank (GSTT), under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command, organised an insightful seminar on a very interesting and relevant topic ‘Artificial Intelligence as a Force Multiplier – Strategic Awareness and Responsible Preparedness’ at Jaipur Military Station on 28 Mar 2026. Large number of serving and retired defence officers, academicians and students from eminent universities in Jaipur attended the Seminar. The eminent panel included Col R D Sharma, an expert on cyber aspects, Sqn Ldr Vibhuti Mangal (Retd) an expert in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning integration and Dr Mahipal Jadeja, Assistant Professor at the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), specialists in Generative Artificial Intelligence in education. who shared their views on the subject.

            The speakers went into detail on Global strategic application of Artificial Intelligence, including cyber and information warfare technology and emerging capabilities through effective demonstration using ChatGPT and other practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in everyday routine. The speakers carried with them wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence. The Seminar also included an engaging session with the audience wherein very pertinent questions were asked and some valuable suggestions were proposed.

 

            Starting from the inaugural seminar in Nov 2024, the Gyan Shakti Think Tank has conducted nine seminars on diverse and compelling topics. The platform aims to develop and promote intellectual pursuit on strategic and defence related issues. The platform serves as a confluence of intellectual exchanges with active participation from veterans. It has been able to harness exceptional speakers to deliberate on some very relevant topics.

            Lieutenant General PS Shekhawat, Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command, in his closing remarks, complimented the audience including the students who had travelled from far off places for their interest and participation. He emphasised on the development of comprehensive policies and robust Cyber Security measures as a part of the deployment of Artificial Intelligence responsibly and effectively while maintaining human oversight and accountability both in military and civil domains. He conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the learned speakers for their qualified views.
