Lions Club Udaipur Ashoka Plans Service Activities for April–May: Mukesh Madhavani
Udaipur: The socially active Lions Club Udaipur Ashoka held an important meeting at Ashoka Palace, Shobhagpura in Udaipur to outline its upcoming service initiatives.
During the meeting, members prepared a detailed plan of various welfare activities for the next two months (April–May 2026), aimed at extending support and assistance to different sections of society.
Charter President Mukesh Madhavani emphasized strengthening service efforts and proposed several key initiatives. He suggested organizing a grand musical evening on April 18, 2026, for members of various Lions Clubs in Udaipur to enhance coordination and participation.
Continuing the discussion, Sameer Rohida proposed organizing a blood donation camp for public welfare. It was decided that the camp would be held on the last Saturday of April to ensure timely availability of blood for patients in need.
Young club member Yashvardhan Khandelwal introduced innovative ideas for social service, including fundraising activities and a job fair. He suggested launching a structured online enrollment process for unemployed youth and facilitating direct interaction with corporate companies on a scheduled day in May. The club appreciated the proposal and entrusted him with preparing a detailed plan for its early implementation.
On the suggestion of senior member Bhuvneshwar Mathur, it was decided to organize a book collection and distribution drive. Under this initiative, textbooks and competitive exam preparation books will be collected from city colleges during April and May and distributed to needy students. Remaining books will be donated to government libraries.
To make this campaign more effective, Club Secretary Shrichand Khathuria proposed involving members of Leo Club Yuva Ashoka, which was unanimously accepted.
He stated that these proposed activities by Lions Club Udaipur Ashoka are not only a fulfillment of social responsibility but will also play a significant role in bringing positive change to the lives of underprivileged sections of society. All members present pledged to work together to ensure the success of these service initiatives.
