Poetry Symposium Organized by Guru Kamal Chand Roshan Gau Seva Trust and Vidyarthi Kalyan Sansthan

Udaipur — With the aim of celebrating Lord Mahavir’s birth anniversary in a grand and historic manner, a humorous poetry symposium (Kavi Sammelan) was organized at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal under the joint aegis of Guru Kamal Chand Roshan Gau Seva Trust and Vidyarthi Kalyan Sansthan.

Through their poems, the participating poets highlighted Lord Mahavir’s message of non-violence in a world troubled by conflicts and wars. The audience present at the venue expressed strong appreciation by applauding the powerful messages conveyed through poetry.

The program began with a Saraswati Vandana by poetess Bhavana Lohar. Poet Rajendra Panwar from Kota drew attention with his patriotic poem emphasizing courage, sacrifice, and devotion to the nation.

Poet Sunil Vyas presented a philosophical piece on the spiritual and natural significance of cows, while poet Shankar Sukhwal addressed social issues like violence against women and cruelty toward animals, which received heartfelt applause from the audience.

Poet Arjun Alhad recited a powerful composition invoking divine intervention to restore righteousness and protect the world. The event was skillfully conducted by Rao Ajatshatru of Udaipur, whose lines—“At the threshold of violence in the world, let non-violence prevail—O Mahavir, victory to you”—resonated strongly with the audience, earning prolonged applause.

Poetess Bhavana Lohar also presented a poem expressing faith and reverence toward Gau Mata, while Manoj Gurjar from Mavli recited a touching piece highlighting the importance and greatness of a father’s role in life.

During the event, several dignitaries including Virendra Jain, Kamlesh Chaudhary, Sushil Dangi, Balwant Singh Chauhan, Bhagyashree Ganna, Mayuri Nagda, Renu Siroya, Supriya Khandelwal, Bharati Kukreja, Kaushalya Sharma, Rajkumari Nalwaya, Surendra Singh Chundawat, Gajendra Singh, Amit Bhaskar, Lata Aditya, Meena Lohar, Sarita Tarun Sharma, Vedika Jain, Tanishq Jain, Aneesh Jain, Deshna Jain, Krish Jain, Daksh Jain, and Harshil Jain honored the poets with shawls and certificates.

Founder Sanjay Jain of the trust stated that, inspired by Gurudev Kamal Muni Kamlesh and with the blessings of Mata Chandrakala and father Roshan Lal Porwal, the trust is dedicated to cow सेवा (service). He added that by Govardhan Puja this year, more than 50,000 cows across 108 gaushalas will be offered special “Chhappan Bhog.” Rajasthan Gaurav Dr. Jinendra Shastri has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the trust.

President Mukesh Jain highlighted that the trust aims to spread awareness about Lord Mahavir’s teachings through poetry and inspire society toward spirituality and service to cows. Treasurer Siti Jain added that within just one year, the trust has made significant efforts in serving cows and promoting compassion toward all living beings.

The event was presided over by City MLA Tarachand Jain. The chief guest was renowned environmentalist Ashok Mehta from Indore, while District Collector Namit Mehta, Pramod Samar from the Cooperative Department, and social worker Rajkumar Sindhi attended as special guests.
