Annual Health Check-Up Camp Inaugurated at ESIC Hospital
Udaipur: Keeping in view the health and well-being of workers, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital located in Chitrakoot Nagar, Bhuvana, inaugurated its annual health check-up camp on Wednesday, April 1. The camp is being organized under the Government of India’s Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, with the objective of providing timely health check-ups and treatment to workers.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Anuradha Gehlot informed that under this camp, all insured persons aged 40 years and above are being provided free health check-ups. A daily target of examining around 65 workers has been set. If any illness is detected during the check-up, further treatment is also being provided free of cost at the ESIC Hospital. Special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth functioning of the camp, including separate counters and dedicated sample collection facilities.
Nodal Officer Dr. Prabodh Solanki stated that laboratory services are being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mehta, ensuring quick and quality diagnostic services for workers. A preparatory meeting held before the inauguration was attended by employers, officials from the ESIC Sub-Regional Office, and doctors, where emphasis was laid on increasing participation and awareness among workers.
Dr. Anuradha Gehlot emphasized that the health of employees is the top priority and urged all eligible insured persons to take advantage of this free facility. Joint Director Deepak Kumar Chaurasia described the initiative as a significant step towards safeguarding workers’ health and appealed to both employers and employees for active participation.
Through this camp, ESIC cardholder workers in the Udaipur region are not only receiving health check-up services but are also being made aware of various ESIC schemes and benefits. Timely diagnosis through such initiatives helps in early detection of diseases, ensuring prompt treatment.
