Jodhpur – Škoda Auto India has continued its strong growth momentum in 2026, recording its highest-ever quarterly sales with 20,028 units sold in the first quarter (January–March). This marks a 17% increase compared to 17,138 cars sold during the same period in 2025. Following a record-breaking performance in 2025, the company has maintained its upward trajectory, further strengthening its presence in the Indian market.
The company’s performance has been largely driven by the strong and consistent demand for the Škoda Kylaq, which recently crossed the 50,000 sales milestone. Additionally, the launch of the new Škoda Kushaq, the steady contribution of the Škoda Slavia, and continued demand for the premium SUV Škoda Kodiaq have played significant roles in driving this growth.
Commenting on this achievement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, said that sustaining this growth momentum with the company’s biggest-ever quarter in 2026 reflects the strong foundation built over the past year. After achieving record performance in 2025, it is encouraging to see the company continue setting new benchmarks. He added that this growth is the result of a strong and accessible product portfolio, wider market reach, and increased focus on customer-centric initiatives.
He further noted that the Škoda Kylaq continues to expand the brand’s reach to new customers and markets, while the recently launched Škoda Kushaq has also established a strong presence. At the same time, the Škoda Slavia and Škoda Kodiaq continue to maintain steady demand in their respective segments. Going forward, the company will focus on launching relevant products, expanding its network, and enhancing the overall ownership experience.
Building trust
Škoda Auto India continues to strengthen customer trust by focusing on ownership experience and after-sales support. The introduction of Škoda Super Care has set a new benchmark, offering a 4-year standard warranty, 4 years of roadside assistance, and 4 labour-free services across the entire range, ensuring peace of mind and predictable maintenance costs for customers. This customer-first approach is further reinforced through continuous improvements in service processes, transparency, and accessibility.
With a growing network of over 330 customer touchpoints across more than 180 cities, the company is expanding its reach and ensuring a seamless and reliable ownership experience for customers in both established and emerging markets.
Driving towards excellence
The strong performance in Q1 FY26 is supported by Škoda Auto India’s robust and evolving product portfolio, aligned with changing customer expectations. The Škoda Kylaq remains a key growth driver, strengthening the brand’s presence in the sub-4 meter SUV segment and attracting new customers.
Further enhancing this proposition, the recently launched new Škoda Kushaq advances the brand’s “democratization” strategy by offering several safety, comfort, and convenience features as standard. Segment-first technologies such as a new 8-speed automatic transmission and rear seat massager, along with improved standard equipment across the range, reinforce the company’s focus on delivering high value and accessible European technology.
Meanwhile, the Škoda Slavia continues to deliver steady sales, while the Škoda Kodiaq maintains a strong presence in the luxury SUV segment, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive portfolio across key segments.
