Tribute Paid to Babu Jagjivan Ram on His Birth Anniversary in Udaipur

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram, a tribute program was organized in Udaipur. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and spokesperson of the Pradesh Congress Committee, paid floral tribute to his portrait at a craftsman’s shop located at Delhi Gate.

During the event, local artisans Sonu Mochi, Jagdish Mochi, and Raju Bhai Mochi were honored by being presented with tricolor mufflers.

Marking the day as *Samta Diwas* (Day of Equality), Sharma shared tea and biscuits with those present and conveyed a message of equality, harmony, and brotherhood.

Sharma highlighted that the life of Babu Jagjivan Ram was fully dedicated to social justice, unity, and service to the nation. He said that Ram continues to be a source of inspiration for youth and for the underprivileged, oppressed, and marginalized sections of society. His significant contributions toward strengthening Indian democracy remain unforgettable.

He further stated, “Babu Jagjivan Ram was a strong pillar of Indian democracy. He not only consistently fought for the rights of the Dalit community but also played a crucial role in establishing equality and justice in the country. His life inspires us toward social harmony, struggle, and service.”

The program concluded with a collective pledge to follow the ideals of Babu Jagjivan Ram and work toward social harmony.

Several dignitaries, including Yashpal Meena, Narayan Sharma, Sajjad Khan, Govind Saxena, Sanjay Mandwani, Nitesh Sarraf, Chitru Devasi, and Rajveer Meghwal, were present on the occasion.
