Inspection of Udaysagar Dam Canal and Bagolia Feeder Works; Emphasis on Quality and Timely Completion

Udaipur: Under the effective implementation of state government budget announcements, construction works of canals connected to Udaysagar Dam and the Bagolia Feeder, being carried out by the Water Resources Department, were inspected.

During the inspection, Additional Chief Engineer Virendra Singh Sagar reviewed the progress, quality, and adherence to the निर्धारित timeline of the construction works in detail. He directed the concerned officials and executing agency to maintain high quality standards, ensure regular testing of construction materials, and complete the work within the stipulated time frame.

It was informed that the Bagolia Feeder is being constructed to resolve irrigation-related issues in the Mavli region. Upon completion, the project will provide irrigation facilities to approximately 3,676 hectares of land across 17 villages and will also improve drinking water supply in the area.

Additionally, inspection was carried out for the renovation work of Udaysagar Dam canals funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency. Once completed, this project will reduce seepage during the Rabi irrigation season and ensure timely water availability up to the tail-end areas.

The Additional Chief Engineer also instructed strict adherence to safety standards at the construction site and emphasized continuous monitoring of the work. On this occasion, Executive Engineer Mohit Patidar, Junior Engineer Ajay Singh Gurjar, and representatives of the executing agency were present.
