Nashra Mandir Project Brings Unsung Revolutionaries to Life, Says Governor Gulabchand Kataria

Udaipur – The newly launched project, Rashtra Mandir, at the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Center has vividly brought to life the sacrifices of unsung revolutionaries. These views were expressed by His Excellency Gulabchand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, during his visit to the Rashtra Mandir at the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Center in Gulab Bagh, Udaipur.

Governor Kataria highlighted that the 18 devoted disciples of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati laid down their lives for India’s freedom. To honor their sacrifice and make their stories accessible to the public, philanthropist Rajiv Gulati, son of the late Mahashay Dharampal Ji, had lifelike silicone statues of these revolutionaries created. Kataria noted that this initiative has set a societal benchmark and has gained international recognition, steadily rising in prominence.

He further emphasized that Maharshi Dayanand’s contributions to India—promoting girls’ education, eradicating social untouchability, and fighting superstition—were crucial for the country’s holistic development. Inspired by him, numerous revolutionaries sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence. The Rashtra Mandir aims to showcase their life stories to inspire future generations. Kataria urged young visitors to draw inspiration from these unsung heroes and dedicate themselves to nation-building with the same loyalty and integrity.

On this occasion, Ashok Arya, President of the Shrimad Dayanand Satyarth Prakash Nyas, recalled Governor Kataria’s long association with Navlakha Mahal. The Mahal, originally a guest house of the then Maharana Sajjan Singh of Mewar, hosted Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati for six and a half months during which he completed his monumental work, Satyarth Prakash. Before being entrusted to the Arya Samaj, the site had served as a government warehouse under the Rajasthan Excise Department. Kataria, then Member of Parliament from Udaipur, played a key role in securing the property for the Arya Samaj and continued to guide and support projects established at the center. Under this support, the Sanskar Veethika was inaugurated, making Navlakha Mahal one of Rajasthan’s prominent tourist sites, attracting thousands of visitors from India and abroad.

During his arrival, Governor Kataria was welcomed with ceremonial offerings including a shawl, turban, and tilak. Present at the occasion were Nyas officials including Bhavanidas Arya (Minister), Vinod Kumar Rathore (Public Relations Secretary), Bhanwar Lal Garg (Office Minister), Pandit Navneet Arya, Sarla Gupta, Rajkumar Gupta, Harish Arya, Hema Arya, Divyesh Suthar (Accountant), Durga Gormaat (NMCC Coordinator), Devilal Pargi, Laxman Lal Kharadi, Rekha, Kaloolal Meena, Nirma Meena, along with several other dedicated members of the Nyas.

This project not only commemorates India’s unsung heroes but also inspires visitors to honor their legacy through service and dedication to the nation.
