
Udaipur: In a deeply humane and emotional gesture, Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, visited GBH General Hospital in Bedwas on Tuesday morning to inquire about the health of senior BJP leader Laxmilal Chordia (93), who is currently admitted in the ICU.
Meeting Chordia in the Medical ICU, the Governor expressed heartfelt emotions, stating that his life of struggle and dedication continues to inspire many. He also prayed for his speedy recovery. Despite his tight schedule and impending departure for Chandigarh, Kataria made it a point to personally visit the hospital and seek detailed updates from the attending doctors on the fourth floor ICU.
During the visit, he also interacted with family members including Sharad Chordia, Sunil Chordia, Chandraprakash Chordia, Manish, Kanta, and Meena Chordia, offering words of strength and assuring them of his full support in every situation.
Chordia, known for his long-standing contributions to political and social life, received this gesture as a mark of deep respect and personal connect, reflected in the Governor’s presence at the hospital.
On arrival, Kataria was warmly received by GBH Group Chairman Dr. Kirti Kumar Jain, Director Dr. Surbhi Porwal, Dr. Priya Jain, and Dr. Dinesh Kothari. He later visited the ICU along with them and was briefed about the ongoing treatment by nephrologist Dr. Mukesh Badjatya and Dr. R.K. Samar.
