Awareness Camp on Cyber Crime and Social Media Usage आयोजित

Sriganganagar: Under the “Transformative Tuesday” initiative directed by the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, a legal literacy campaign titled “Empowering the Youth of Rajasthan 2026” was conducted. As part of this initiative, an awareness camp on cyber security and social media was organized on Wednesday at Good Shepherd School, Sriganganagar by District Legal Services Authority Secretary, Mr. Ravi Prakash Suthar (Additional District and Sessions Judge).

During the session, ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar addressed the students and explained the concept of cyber safety and cyberbullying. He stated that harassing, insulting, threatening, or mentally harming someone through mobile phones, the internet, social media, or any online platform falls under cyber abuse.

He also warned that sometimes individuals create fake social media accounts using a child’s name and photograph. Such accounts may post inappropriate content or send misleading messages, which can damage the child’s reputation and break trust.

Highlighting the dangers of online gaming, he said that while online games are very popular among children, some games include abusive language and interactions with strangers. Many games have voice chat features, which allow cyber criminals to communicate with children and extract personal information such as home address and mobile numbers. Some offenders even try to befriend children through games and later attempt to trap them.

ADJ Suthar advised students that in case of cyber abuse, they should act wisely and without fear. They should avoid engaging in arguments and immediately take screenshots, as evidence is very important. He emphasized that children should inform their parents, teachers, or any trusted adult without hesitation and should not hide such incidents out of shame.

He further advised blocking such offenders and reporting the account on the platform. In serious cases, complaints should be filed with cyber police or the concerned authorities.

Chief LADC Mr. Rohtash Yadav was also present at the event. From Good Shepherd School, Manager Mr. Manav Chimni, Principal Amoldeep Kaur, and Vice Principal Mr. Sachin Bhatia were उपस्थित. The program was conducted by Legal Aid Defense Counsel Mr. Aman Chalana.
