Players from Across India Shine at Field Club as Professional Premier Tennis League-3 Kicks Off in Style
Udaipur: The prestigious Field Club in Udaipur witnessed a grand opening of Season 3 of the Professional Premier Tennis League (PPTL) on Wednesday सुबह at 7 AM. Players from different parts of the country impressed spectators right from day one with their powerful performances. Fast serves, precise returns, long rallies, and decisive points filled the courts with excitement from early morning.
This four-day prestigious league features 16 teams and 128 players. Notably, the event is moving towards becoming India’s first certified carbon-neutral sports event, setting it apart by promoting environmental conservation alongside competitive sports.
On the opening day, all teams displayed intense competition in the group matches. Most matches concluded with a close 2-1 scoreline, clearly indicating that every team is a strong contender for the title this season.
In the प्रमुख morning matches, Uday Tigers defeated Code Commanders 2-1, while Mighty Mustangs edged past Thar Stars with the same score. Mean Machines secured a 2-1 victory over Awarebills, and Net Ninjas defeated Code Kings 2-1 to strengthen their position. Additionally, Glorier Terminators overcame Ace Miners, and Topspin Titans defeated Shastri Stars, both by identical 2-1 margins. The consistently close scorelines and matches going down to the final set highlighted the highly competitive nature of this season.
Players showcased excellent skills not only in baseline rallies but also in net play, giving spectators a thrilling experience comparable to national-level competitions.
Alongside the main team event, matches were also held in Open Doubles categories of 80+, 100+, and 120+. Experienced players defied age with remarkable fitness, coordination, and technical excellence. Their impressive court coverage and shot placement, especially in doubles matches, earned loud applause from the audience.
From the evening onwards, the league’s most unique attraction, “Tennis Ties,” will begin, featuring father-son pairs competing together. Being आयोजित for the first time in India, this format has generated great excitement among players and fans, highlighting not just competition but also the emotional and family-oriented side of the sport.
A large number of spectators gathered at the Field Club from early morning, and their enthusiastic applause for every brilliant shot, ace, and crucial point boosted the players’ morale.
Organized by the Veda SPSL Foundation, Jaipur, the event is considered a major achievement for Udaipur’s sports culture. The previous two successful seasons were held in Dehradun and Jaipur. The foundation aims to provide a platform for grassroots talent and help them reach the national level.
The league is supported by partners such as Vivo, VinFast, Gallium, Amul, and KMT, whose contributions are helping transform this event into a strong platform for the emerging professional tennis culture in India.
