Absconding Ganja Smuggler Aslam Mansoori Arrested with Help of DST and Cyber Cell Teams
Kota: Kota City SP Tejaswini Gautam informed that a special drive has been continuously carried out to arrest long-absconding and reward-listed criminals. Under this campaign, Ranpur Police achieved a significant success.
A special team was formed under her leadership to ensure the arrest of wanted and reward-carrying criminals. The team included Assistant Sub-Inspector Vishal Awasthi, Head Constables Ashok Singh, Mahendra Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Constable Surendra Kumar, along with DST Constable Tanwar Singh and Cyber Cell Constable Sunil Chandel.
According to police, on September 3, 2025, Ranpur Police received information from an informer about a white Maruti Suzuki Brezza car moving in the wrong direction towards Jhalawar Road after noticing a police checkpoint. Suspicious of the movement, the police team chased the vehicle.
After some distance, the car was found abandoned on the highway with a punctured rear tire. The driver had fled the spot taking advantage of darkness. Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered a sack containing illegal narcotic substance (ganja) from the trunk. A total of 28 kilograms of ganja was seized.
Following the incident, the accused remained absconding for a long time. The police team has now successfully arrested the accused, Aslam Mansoori, from the Gordhanpura area. He was carrying a reward of ₹15,000.
This arrest marks an important achievement in the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in the region.
