In a remarkable achievement, Dr. Vishwas Baheti, Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon at Geetanjali Hospital, has earned a place in the Guinness World Records for his contribution to a live stream focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
The recognition came after a YouTube live session on AI in medical science recorded a peak viewership of 17,999 participants. This milestone, organized under the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, led to the inclusion of names including Dr. Abhijat Sheth and Dr. Baheti in the Guinness records, officially acknowledged in New Delhi on February 25.
Highlighting the growing importance of AI, Dr. Baheti stated that modern technology is proving to be a major advantage for patients. AI enables rapid and accurate analysis of medical reports such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, assisting doctors in precise diagnosis and early detection of critical diseases like cancer, heart ailments, and neurological disorders.
He further emphasized that AI-powered systems can continuously monitor patient health, alerting doctors to any changes in real time. From determining correct medication dosages to planning complex surgeries and tracking recovery, AI is significantly enhancing efficiency in hospitals.
Additionally, AI-driven telemedicine is transforming healthcare accessibility, especially in rural and remote areas. Patients can now consult specialist doctors from their homes, saving both time and cost.
Medical experts believe that AI will continue to revolutionize healthcare, ensuring faster, safer, and more effective treatment for patients in the years to come.
