Ambedkar’s Ideas and Principles Remain Relevant Even Today: MLA Jain

Udaipur: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in 2026, a special seminar on social harmony, social justice, and cleanliness was organized on Monday at the EWS Girls’ Hostel under the aegis of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, as part of a series of programs directed by the state government.

The chief guest of the program was Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain. In his address, he stated that the ideals and thoughts of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar remain relevant even in today’s time. He called upon the gathering to unite for social harmony and the nation’s development, so that the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India can be realized.

The keynote speaker, Sudarshan Singh Rathore, a professor at Meera Girls College, presented a detailed account of Dr. Ambedkar’s life. He highlighted Ambedkar’s role in the making of the Constitution, the importance of education, and his contributions to society, while also recalling his struggles.

At the beginning of the program, Girish Bhatnagar, Joint Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, welcomed the guests and participants. The event was anchored by Praveen Paneri, while Social Security Officer Harshit Pancholi delivered the vote of thanks at the end.

The seminar was attended by departmental officials, hostel superintendents, prominent citizens of the city, and a large number of students.
