Udaipur: Bhumika Vasita, a Physical Education teacher at Government Senior Secondary School, Sangwa (Mavli block) in Udaipur district, has been appointed as a Technical Official for the prestigious national-level Khelo India initiative—5th Asmita Junior and 4th Sub-Junior Women’s Hockey League 2025–26. The appointment has been made by the Director of Secondary Education.
Organized by Hockey India, the Khelo India Asmita League is an ambitious initiative aimed at providing a strong platform for women athletes across the country in various sports. This year, the league will be held at LNIPE, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) from April 14 to April 28, 2026.
Hockey India recommended her appointment to Rajasthan’s Director of Secondary Education, Sitaram Jat, who subsequently appointed Bhumika Vasita to the role. She has previously served in several major events, including the 38th National Games, Hockey India Women’s National Championship, Khelo India Women’s Hockey League, and Sub-Junior Girls Academy Nationals.
According to the deputation order issued by the Director, she will perform her duties under the guidance of Hockey India during the competition.
This appointment is not only a personal achievement for Bhumika Vasita but also reflects the growing recognition of women’s hockey in Rajasthan, particularly in Udaipur district. Such opportunities encourage women in sports and open new avenues for talented female professionals.
