Udaipur: On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram, a one-day training workshop on its proper rendition and protocol was organized at Shilpgram by the West Zone Cultural Centre.
Director Dr. Ashwin Dalvi informed that the workshop was conducted on Monday in collaboration with the Department of Education (Secondary Education) for higher secondary school teachers. He stated that the main objective of the workshop was to convey the correct form of the national song to students through teachers. After the workshop, all participating teachers will ensure regular practice of the national song in their respective schools, helping to instill a sense of patriotism among the younger generation.
During the workshop, senior musician Dr. Prem Bhandari trained the teachers in correct pronunciation, rhythm, and singing of Vande Mataram as per the prescribed protocol. He was accompanied by Dr. Pamil Modi on vocals and Om Kumawat on tabla. More than 50 music/prayer in-charge teachers from secondary schools participated in the training.
On this occasion, all participants also paid tribute to renowned singer Asha Bhosle.
Additional Superintendent of Police Chetna Bhati and Deputy Director (Programs) Pawan Amarawat addressed the participants. Assistant Director (Finance & Accounts) Durgesh Chandwani, Superintending Engineer C.L. Salvi, and others were also present. The program was conducted by Siddhant Bhatnagar.
