Udaipur. The prestigious ‘CardioNext–2026’ conference, organized by Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital in association with the Cardiac Science Society and API, was successfully held in Udaipur. More than 350 doctors and participants attended the event, engaging in in-depth discussions on modern cardiac care and emerging technologies.

The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of Ankit Agarwal (Executive Director, Geetanjali Group), Dr. Anand Gupta (President, IMA Udaipur), and Dr. Ramesh Patel (HOD, Cardiology). Senior experts including Dr. Sanjay Gandhi, Dr. B.S. Bomb, Dr. D.C. Kumawat, Dr. Dilip Jain, Dr. Rohit Saini, and Dr. Gaurav Mittal were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Ankit Agarwal emphasized that such conferences provide a strong platform for knowledge exchange and help strengthen cardiology departments through modern advancements and expertise.

Key sessions included discussions on the Echo Symposium, “Lipid–Heart Failure Continuum,” and “Management of Complex Tachyarrhythmias.” Experts also shared insights into advanced interventional techniques for treating congenital heart diseases, offering valuable perspectives to participants.

A major highlight of the conference was the live presentation of heart specimens to explain cardiac anatomy, which helped attendees gain practical and in-depth understanding of the subject.

The special session on leadless pacemakers attracted significant attention, while the ECG quiz saw enthusiastic participation from delegates.

Dr. Ramesh Patel elaborated on the indications and modern approaches of TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation), stressing advancements in cardiac treatment. Discussions also focused on whether doctors are at higher risk compared to the general population, highlighting the importance of regular screening.

Dr. Sanjay Gandhi spoke about the lifetime management of patients undergoing Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) and the impact of new technologies. Meanwhile, Dr. Dilip Jain conducted an engaging debate on managing acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), comparing medical and interventional approaches.

Experts also presented key viewpoints on “Revisiting Metabolic Diseases from an Obesity Perspective,” underlining the importance of lifestyle changes.

The conference concluded on a high note, emerging not just as an academic event but as a significant step toward better management, innovation, and awareness in cardiac healthcare.
