Udaipur: Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Gopal Swaroop Mewara, inaugurated the Parinda (bird water pot) campaign at the Udaipur Police Lines by installing water pots for birds. The initiative was organized by Rajasthan Samaj Seva Sansthan, Udaipur.
On this occasion, Inspector Gulab Singh and other police personnel also installed bird nests and water pots within the Police Lines premises to support birds during the summer season.
ASP Mewara praised the efforts of the organization, stating that with rising temperatures, launching such a campaign for the welfare of birds is highly commendable. He emphasized that providing water to birds during the intense summer heat is one of the greatest acts of service. Police personnel also took responsibility for regularly refilling the water pots and providing grains.
The event was attended by organization president Devendra Sharma, treasurer Reena Jain, and other team members. Devendra Sharma stated that the campaign has been launched from the Police Lines and will include free distribution of water pots to the general public. Under the initiative, water pots will also be installed in public parks and other locations. The organization has set a target of distributing and installing 5,000 water pots during this season.
