Lions Club Sri Ganganagar Center Honoured with Multiple Awards at Region Conference

Sri Ganganagar: At the recently held Lions Clubs International Region Conference, Lions Club Sri Ganganagar Center was honoured with several awards for its outstanding social service activities.

Under the leadership of Club President Shyam Goswami, the club was awarded the prestigious “Outstanding Club of the Year” for its year-round social initiatives. President Shyam Goswami was honoured as “Best President,” Secretary Sachin Kukkar received the “Best Secretary” award, and Treasurer Anil Pahuja was awarded “Best Treasurer.”

Ashish Arora, Ghanshyam Rajpurohit, and Kewal Sachdeva were also felicitated for their contribution towards the successful organization of the conference. Zone Chairmen Deepak Watts and Parvinder Luna were honoured with shawls for their contribution to LCIF (Lions Clubs International Foundation).

President Shyam Goswami informed that the club currently operates five Jal Mandirs as part of its permanent service initiatives. Through public contribution, the club has also provided two deep freezers, one refrigerator, 50 bedsheets, an operation table for kidney transplant procedures, and medical equipment worth ₹2 lakh to the mortuary of the government hospital.

Additionally, a borewell worth ₹40,000 was constructed in a government school, and warm sweaters and socks were distributed to more than 500 students. The club is also planning to construct another Jal Mandir soon.

Region Chairperson Shailendra Sahu described Lions Club Sri Ganganagar Center as a leading organization in service activities.

The event was attended by several members including Manoj Midhha, Prakash Jalandhara, Pawan Sharma, Kamal Charaya, Manish Arora, Pankaj Nagpal, Shilpa Midhha, Shivani Watts, Suman Jalandhara, and many others.
