Seminar Held for the Welfare of Transgender Community
Udaipur: The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Department Rajasthan, Udaipur, organized a seminar focused on the welfare of the transgender community.
Transgender participants attending the seminar were welcomed by the Assistant Director. Joint Director Girish Bhatnagar provided detailed information on how transgender individuals can apply online for identity certificates through the National Portal for Transgender Persons.
He also informed participants about various welfare schemes available to them, including pensions, scholarships, financial assistance for children pursuing education, vocational training, self-employment and business opportunities, medical aid, and counseling services.
Members of the transgender community also shared their views and requested that their concerns be conveyed to the government.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the District Probation and Social Welfare Officer.
