Protest Held in Gram Panchayat 9-Jad Over MGNREGA Works and Alleged Corruption
Sri Ganganagar: A protest and demonstration was organized in front of the Panchayat office in Gram Panchayat 9-Jad under the leadership of the All India Agricultural and Rural Workers Union. The protest was held demanding the immediate start of MGNREGA works in the village and opposing alleged corruption in the gram panchayat.
Several leaders addressed the gathering, including Union President Comrade Jeet Singh, Vice President Vakil Singh, Joint Master Plan Struggle Committee Convener Naresh Sharma, International Democratic Party State Convener Chunni Lal Poonia, and Ganpat Singh. They demanded that MGNREGA works in Gram Panchayat 9-Jad be started without delay and called for an impartial investigation into the alleged corruption.
The speakers warned that if MGNREGA works are not initiated soon and strict action is not taken against corruption, the agitation will be intensified and a larger movement will be launched.
A large number of men and women participated in the protest, including Mama Sucha Singh, Santokh Singh, Gurmel Singh, Raju, and Laxmi Devi. The participants demonstrated strong unity and raised slogans against the administration.
