‘Aadi Bazaar’ to Showcase Tribal Art and Culture at Urban Square Mall

Udaipur — With the aim of promoting tribal art and culture, the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, is organizing an ‘Aadi Bazaar’ at Urban Square Mall until April 26. The event, supported by Bhumi Group, will be held daily from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, featuring tribal artists from across the country showcasing their traditional crafts.

The exhibition will offer a wide range of items including tribal jewelry, Mandana paintings, handwoven fabrics, Kantha and Shibori art, handicrafts, and embroidery products for display and sale. According to the organizers, the primary objective is to provide tribal artisans with a strong marketing platform while connecting the public with their rich artistic heritage and traditions.

Cultural programs in the evening will be a major highlight of the event. Traditional folk dances such as Dewaria, Bhavai, Kalbelia, Terah Taali, and Gorband will be performed, offering visitors a glimpse into the diversity of Indian culture.

Rahul Kumar from TRIFED stated that through ‘Aadi Bazaar,’ the organization provides tribal artisans, craftsmen, and self-help groups with direct access to consumers, ensuring fair pricing and better market opportunities. He added that TRIFED continues to work actively toward the promotion of tribal art, culture, and livelihoods under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Nandini Taneja, CEO of Bhumi Enterprises, emphasized that ‘Aadi Bazaar’ is not just an exhibition but an important opportunity for people to closely experience India’s rich tribal heritage. She highlighted their effort to connect city residents directly with artisans and encourage support for their craftsmanship.
