MLA Inaugurates New Medical Equipment at Satellite Hospital, Hiran Magri
Udaipur — A range of advanced medical equipment, procured with the support of the state government and donors, was inaugurated on Saturday at the Government Satellite Hospital in Hiran Magri Sector 5. The inauguration was carried out by Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena.
The hospital has been equipped with a digital radiography system (500 mA) installed at a cost of ₹46 lakh by the state government. With this addition, the hospital now has two X-ray machines, enabling faster and higher-quality imaging services for patients. A laparoscopic machine worth ₹45 lakh has also been installed, which will allow minimally invasive surgeries, including gynecological and general procedures, to be performed without large incisions. This is expected to increase the number of surgeries and boost revenue under the Chief Minister’s health scheme.
Additionally, a C-arm machine costing ₹22 lakh has been set up, which will facilitate complex orthopedic surgeries. An A/B scan machine, installed at a cost of ₹15 lakh, will assist in eye examinations—A-scan for determining lens power during cataract surgeries and B-scan for ultrasound imaging of the eye, helping detect tumors or lesions.
Former Principal and Controller of R.N.T. Medical College, Dr. S.K. Kaushik, along with alumnus Dr. Shailendra Hiran, donated a modern automatic operation table through the IAP Conference, valued at ₹2 lakh. The hospital handles 2,200 to 2,700 patients daily, conducts around 120 deliveries per month, and performs 3 to 5 major surgeries each day. With the addition of the new operation table, the total number of operation tables has increased to three, which will help reduce waiting time for surgeries.
Mrs. Shashiprabha and Brijbhushan Srivastava donated ₹10 lakh for the construction of a new registration room in memory of their late son, Namit Srivastava. They were honored by MLA Phool Singh Meena and R.N.T. Medical College Principal Dr. Rahul Jain.
The event was attended by Deputy Controller Dr. Narendra Deval, Dr. Mukesh Jain, Dr. Seema Jain, Dr. Sangeeta, Nursing Superintendent Ratan Solanki, Ramesh Ameta, Vinod Patel, social worker Mahesh Goswami, Mukesh Sharma, Kamlesh, Jagdish, and others.
