Awareness Program on Akshaya Tritiya to Eradicate Child Marriage
Udaipur: An awareness program to eradicate child marriage was organized on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Udaipur Local Association, at The Scholars Arena Senior Secondary School, R.K. Puram.
The program, held under the guidance of the institution’s Principal Dr. Lokesh Jain, included an essay competition and a public awareness rally. The rally was flagged off by the institution’s Secretary Vidushi Jain and Chief Director Dr. Maya Trivedi.
The rally passed through various routes of the R.K. Puram area and concluded at the Manshapurna Mahadev Shiv Temple premises. During the rally, Scout and Guide students spread awareness among the public through slogans such as, “Child marriage is a grave mistake, it leads to lifelong suffering.”
On this occasion, Senior Training Counselor and Unit Leader Dr. Bhagwati Lal Sahu emphasized the need to spread awareness in society to eliminate child marriage. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Unit Leader Divyansh Brijwani.
