Legend Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2026 Ceremony to be Held on May 4 in Mumbai
Mumbai — The Legend Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2026 (7th Season) will be organized on May 4 at Raheja Classic Club, located in Andheri West, Mumbai. The event is being organized by Dr. Krishna Chauhan, founder of the Krishna Chauhan Foundation, on the occasion of his birthday.
According to a press release issued by Dr. Chauhan, the award ceremony will honor individuals who have made a distinctive mark in the film industry through their talent, while also contributing significantly to social and humanitarian causes.
Organized under the banner of the Krishna Chauhan Foundation, the event is expected to be a memorable gathering for the Bollywood fraternity. Renowned personalities from the industry will also pay tribute to Dadasaheb Phalke, acknowledging his immense contribution to Indian cinema.
Apart from this ceremony , Dr. Chauhan has been consistently organizing several prestigious award events every year, including Bollywood Iconic Awards, Bollywood Legend Awards, Nari Shakti Samman, National Ratna Samman, and Mahatma Gandhi Ratna Award.
Originally from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Chauhan has been actively associated with the film industry for over 22 years. He began his career as an assistant director and has since worked on multiple ad films and music videos. Today, he is recognized not only as a successful film director but also as a prominent social worker and a well-known figure in organizing award functions in Bollywood.
