Anti-Drug Awareness Message Echoes at Vidyarthi Shiksha Sahyog Samiti School

Sri Ganganagar: Under the “Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar” campaign led by District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and Superintendent of Police Harishankar, an anti-drug awareness workshop was organized at Vidyarthi Shiksha Sahyog Samiti School. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.

Vikram Jiyani from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment addressed the students, stating that addiction is not just a habit but a well-planned trap—one that steals dreams and pushes lives into darkness. He emphasized that parents work tirelessly to provide opportunities for their children, and falling into addiction destroys not only one’s own future but also the dreams of the entire family.

Through emotional examples and impactful messages, students were made aware that addiction is not a source of pleasure but a form of punishment. It weakens individuals from within, damages relationships, and leads life toward destruction. Motivating the youth, Vikram Jiyani urged them to take a pledge to choose their dreams over addiction, remain focused on their goals, and become strong architects of their own future.

At the end of the program, students were informed about the Government of India’s MANAS Helpline 1933 and how to seek help or report issues. All participants collectively pledged to lead a drug-free life and spread awareness in society.

On this occasion, the school administration appreciated the initiative, stating that such programs are essential for bringing positive change in the lives of youth. Police Constable Praveen Kumar also guided students on cyber safety and traffic rules.
