A captivating Bharatanatyam performance was presented under the aegis of SPIC MACAY at Central Public Senior Secondary School, New Bhupalpura, on Friday, April 24, 2026. The event featured renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Samrat Dutta, who mesmerized students and faculty with his expressive artistry.
Samrat Dutta, a well-known performer from Kolkata, is recognized as a solo artist, choreographer, mentor, and researcher. He has been trained under the guidance of C. V. Chandrasekhar, a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance.
Blending Tradition with Learning
The performance commenced with an invocation (Ish Vandana), followed by a Krishna Vandana. Alongside his presentation, the artist also introduced students to the fundamentals of Bharatanatyam, making the session both educational and engaging.
