RMRMS Meeting of RNT Medical College Held Under Chairpersonship of Divisional Commissioner

Udaipur: A key meeting of the Rajasthan Medicare Relief Society (RMRS) was held on Saturday with the aim of modernizing healthcare facilities and ensuring patient convenience in hospitals affiliated with Rabindranath Tagore (RNT) Medical College. The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani and attended by public representatives and administrative officials.

6 New Air-Conditioned Ambulances Announced by MPs
During the meeting, Principal Dr. Rahul Jain highlighted a serious issue, stating that patients currently have to be transported between hospitals within the RNT campus using stretchers, which causes significant discomfort, especially during extreme weather conditions like heat and rain.

Taking swift action in the interest of patients, Rajya Sabha MP Chunni Lal Garasia announced the provision of 3 air-conditioned Maruti Eeco ambulances from his MP fund. Similarly, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat approved 3 more air-conditioned Maruti Eeco ambulances. The total estimated cost of these 6 ambulances is around ₹60 lakh, which will ensure safe and comfortable patient transfers within the hospital परिसर.

Infrastructure Strengthening Through MLA and DMFT Funds
Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena announced ₹11 lakh from his MLA fund for setting up a modern cytology lab for cancer and other diagnostic tests.

Additionally, to ensure uninterrupted medical services during emergencies such as storms or cyclones causing power outages, a proposal has been prepared to purchase three large generator sets costing ₹2.6 crore through DMFT funds. This proposal will soon be sent to the District Collector’s office for approval.
