Sita Jayanti Celebrated, Poet Saeed Manzar Felicitated at Literary Gathering in Banswara
Banswara,A vibrant blend of devotion, poetry, and communal harmony marked the celebration of Sita Jayanti along with a felicitation ceremony for noted poet Saeed Manzar, organized by Shri Ujaas Parivar, Thikariya at Sindhi Dharamshala in Banswara.
Held on the auspicious occasion of Vaishakh Shukla Navami, the event brought together poets and shayars from across urban and rural regions, who presented their compositions in a lively kavi goshthi. The gathering echoed a strong message of “Sarvadharm Sadbhav” (communal harmony) through literature and shared cultural expression.
The function was presided over by educationist Prakash Pandya. Distinguished guests included poet Harish Acharya, renowned shayar Zaheer Aatish, and classical singer Aditya Kale.
A special highlight of the event was the public felicitation of senior poet and dohakar Saeed Manzar ahead of his departure for the sacred Haj pilgrimage, with heartfelt wishes extended for his journey.
The program was skillfully conducted by Dr. Saeed Roshan, a United Nations representative and Head of the Urdu Department at GGTU, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Amanullah Pathan.
Several poets and artists enriched the evening with their recitations, including Sikandar Mamu, Rajendra Santwani ‘Raj’, Aslam Khan Pathan, Mehboob Anand, Bhagwat ‘Kundan’, Ashok Madhosh, Hemant Pathak ‘Rahi’, Himesh Upadhyay, Bhanwar Garg ‘Madhukar’, Ram Panchal ‘Bhartiya’, and Pritesh Bunkar ‘Preet’.
The event also witnessed the presence of tribal artist Ashish Ganawa ‘Amol’, advocate Sajid Hussain, Maimuna Pathan, Raja Khan, Zuber, Kabir, and several other literature enthusiasts, making it a memorable celebration of culture, unity, and artistic expression.
