###Greater Kota Press Club Elects Sunil Mathur as President Unopposed, New Executive Takes Charge

The general body meeting of the Greater Kota Press Club was held on Sunday at Dadhich Hostel near Nag-Nagin Temple in an enthusiastic atmosphere. Following a democratic and consensus-driven process, a new executive committee was formed, with Sunil Mathur elected unopposed as President along with his entire team.

Members of the patron board, including K. L. Jain, Qayyum Ali, Pawan Ahuja, Pradyuman Sharma, Shyam Rohida, and Subodh Jain proposed handing over responsibilities to the new executive for the upcoming term. The proposal was unanimously approved by members present .

During the meeting, members reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding journalists’ interests, strengthening the organization, and actively engaging in social causes. Newly elected President Sunil Mathur stated that he would work with full dedication to address journalists’ concerns, enhance organizational effectiveness, and bring new direction to the club’s activities.

The new executive committee was warmly welcomed with garlands, and members expressed confidence in taking the organization to new heights. Key discussions focused on journalist unity, expansion of the organization, creating platforms for young journalists, and organizing training programs and lecture series.

In a notable announcement, patron Pawan Ahuja pledged to organize a lecture series in memory of his father and bear all associated expenses.

Earlier, General Secretary Anil Bhardwaj presented a detailed report on the club’s activities and achievements, while Treasurer Badri Prasad Gautam shared the financial statement with members.

The meeting also included discussions on promoting sports activities, indoor games, journalist competitions, lecture series, and other creative initiatives. Members deliberated on government benefits for journalists, including land allotments and related issues.

Senior Vice President Hemant Sharma, Vice President Harimohan Sharma, Joint Secretary Chandraprakash Sharma Chandu, Office Secretary Hanspal Yadav, and executive members Dinesh Kashyap, Lekhraj Sharma, Sanjay Verma, Manish Gautam, Shakir Ali, and Rubina Kazi were present on the  stage

The event was also attended by BJP leader Pankaj Mehta, along with Abdul Khaliq from the railway workers’ union, R. N. Garg, several social workers, journalists, and distinguished citizens.
