Ninth Celebration of Swar Sadhana: Kumbha Kala Kendra Immersed in a Melodic Evening

Udaipur: Showcasing a beautiful blend of musical devotion and women’s empowerment, the ninth foundation day of Swar Lahari was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm at Kumbha Kala Kendra. Mesmerizing performances of melody, rhythm, and expression filled the auditorium with a rich musical ambiance.

The संस्था’s President, Mrs. Pushpa Kothari, shared that Swar Lahari was established on February 7, 2017, inspired by the late Yashwant Kothari, with the aim of promoting musical awareness among women and providing them with a strong platform. Currently, around 130 women members are actively associated with the organization, who practice regularly on the 7th of every month under the guidance of Janab Faiyaz and Mahesh.

Coordinator Mrs. Rekha Mehta informed that this year’s foundation day, held on April 30, 2026, was graced by eminent personalities from the field of music, including Dr. Prem Bhandari, Dr. Pamil Modi, Mrs. Reena Rathore, Dr. Nidhi Saxena, and Mukesh Wadhwani. The event’s special guest was Additional Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Chetna Bhati.

The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by Ganpati Vandana presented by Rekha Mehta and Saraswati Vandana by Manju Bhanawat. A theme song presented by the Mamta Kothari group set the tone for the evening. Various groups performed captivating songs such as “Runiji Ra Dhaniya,” “Garjat Barsat Sawan,” “Mere Dholna Sun,” “Main To Tum Sang Nain Milake,” “Naam Gum Jayega,” “Aao Huzoor Tumko,” “Mera Rang De Basanti Chola,” “Ek Pyar Ka Nagma,” “Saanson Ki Mala Pe Simroon,” and “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage,” leaving the audience spellbound.

The program was effectively anchored by Pushpa Lodha and Urvashi Singhvi. The success of the event was made possible through the commendable efforts of the entire team, including Rekha Mehta, Manju Bhanawat, Pushpa Lodha, Kanta Jodhawat, Madhu Munet, Manju Sarupariya, Niroj Joshi, Renu Jain, Savita Kothari, and Rita Mehta.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the Vijayalakshmi Galundia group, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Manju Bhanawat. The event ended with a fellowship meal and a shared commitment to reunite again.
