Awareness Camp Organized on International Workers’ Day

Sri Ganganagar: Under the action plan for May 2026 issued by the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, an awareness camp was organized on May 1, 2026, on the occasion of International Workers' Day. The camp was conducted at Balaji Bricks Kiln in Mirzewala by Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Sri Ganganagar.

During the camp, ADJ Mr. Suthar interacted with the workers at the brick kiln and gathered information about their wages, equal pay for men and women, fixed working hours, and working conditions. He also informed the workers about their rights under labor laws, safe working conditions, social security benefits, availability of first aid kits, education, seating and shelter facilities, and sanitation arrangements.

In addition, detailed information was provided about legal aid services and victim compensation schemes. The participants were also made aware of the NALSA scheme for providing legal services to unorganized sector workers, along with the NALSA helpline number 15100.

Among those present at the camp were LADC Aman Chalana, Labour Inspector Mamta Sihag, and Bhupendra Suthar, owner of Balaji Bricks Kiln.
