Viyansh and Paushita Emerge Winners in District Under-11 Chess; Ridhaan and Vihana Finish Runners-up

Udaipur: The District Under-11 Chess Championship 2026 was successfully held in Udaipur today at CPS School. The tournament was jointly organized by Ribka Chess Club and Castle Mind Chess Academy. Sonal Garg attended as the chief guest. Kushal Patel served as the Chief Arbiter, while Richin Jain was the Deputy Arbiter.

In the boys’ category, a total of five rounds were played. Viyansh Bhatnagar delivered an outstanding performance, winning all his matches to secure first place with 5 points. Ridhaan Jain finished second with 4 points. Gatik Vyas and Shreyan Gupta also scored 4 points each, securing third and fourth positions respectively. Divyansh Mathur claimed fifth place with 3.5 points. Other notable performers in the top 10 included Dhanvin Sharma (3.5 points), Vihaan Kariwal (3.5 points), Sujyot Kale (3 points), Agastya Lodha (3 points), and Dhairya Pagariya (3 points).

In the girls’ category, four rounds were played. Paushita Paliwal secured first place with 3.5 points. Vihana Kothari finished as runner-up with 3 points. Sanchi Jain, Jesvi Chaubisa, and Mananya Chaudhary each scored 3 points, finishing third to fifth respectively. Other players in the top 10 included Veera Kage (2.5 points), Prisha Kataria (2 points), Vridhi Valecha (2 points), Khushi Pagariya (2 points), and Hridyanshi Dixit (2 points).

According to Association Secretary Indra Kumar Prajapat, based on their performance, Viyansh Bhatnagar and Ridhaan Jain from the boys’ category, along with Paushita Paliwal and Vihana Kothari from the girls’ category, have been selected for the Rajasthan State Under-11 Chess Championship 2026.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were awarded trophies and certificates. The tournament showcased excellent sportsmanship and reflected the growing standard of chess in Udaipur.
