Assistive Devices Distributed at Welfare Camp for Persons with Disabilities in Girwa
Udaipur: Under the Chief Minister’s budget announcement, a camp for the distribution of assistive devices to persons with disabilities was organized on Monday at the Panchayat Samiti headquarters in Girwa.
The camp was attended by Phool Singh Meena, Joint Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department Girish Bhatnagar, and Development Officer Ajit Kumar Meena. MLA Meena interacted with the Divyangjan (persons with disabilities), welcomed them with garlands, and encouraged them to take maximum benefit of government welfare schemes.
Joint Director Bhatnagar briefed attendees on the progress of the scheme. Social Security Officer Harshit Kumar Pancholi, who conducted the program, informed that a total of 12 tricycles, 1 wheelchair, and 4 smart canes were distributed to beneficiaries during the camp, helping improve their mobility and ease in daily life.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Trilok Chand. The successful organization of the camp was made possible with the support of hostel superintendent Trilok Chand, Roshan Lal Meena, Vaibhav Bhatt, Anupriya Meena, Rekha Kumhar, and support staff including Magan Lal, Shankar, and Lokesh Kumar.
