Awareness Workshops Against Drug Abuse Held in Schools; Students Take Anti-Drug Pledge

Sri Ganganagar: Under the ongoing “Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar” campaign led by District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and Superintendent of Police Harishankar, awareness workshops against drug abuse were organized in several schools including Sardar Pura Bika, Nirwana, Manewala, Sadkawala Senior Secondary School, and MRM Nirwana.

More than 2,000 students from five schools participated in the campaign and took a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness among others.

During the program, Vikram Jyani from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department educated students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. He stated that drug addiction is not a simple bad habit but a conspiracy that destroys dreams. He emphasized that the fight is not against individuals but against drugs itself.

At the conclusion of the workshops, students collectively pledged with raised hands that they would choose their dreams over drugs, never break their parents’ hopes, stay away from substance abuse themselves, and help protect society from it.

The workshops not only provided information but also instilled a new mindset, a sense of responsibility, and a spirit of awareness among the youth.

The program witnessed participation from several local figures including Manohar Indlia, Dharampal Lega, Dr. Kaswan, Shamsher Baba, along with a large number of villagers.
