Sri Ganganagar: Under the Gram Rath Campaign, an awareness program was organized on Wednesday at Gram Panchayat Mohanpura in the Sri Ganganagar Panchayat Samiti, chaired by District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav. On this occasion, he encouraged villagers to take full advantage of various public welfare schemes launched by the state government.
The District Collector provided detailed information about the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination and appealed to parents to ensure vaccination of their daughters aged 14 to 15 years to prevent cervical cancer. Under this campaign, free vaccination is being provided to girls at nearby district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, and community health centers.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of the Gram Rath Campaign in spreading awareness and urged villagers to benefit from schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, irrigation, health, and other departments. He interacted with villagers to understand the benefits they have received from government schemes and also listened to their problems and suggestions.
He stated that the main objective of the Gram Rath Yatra is to deliver information about government schemes and development works to farmers, livestock rearers, and rural communities in a simple and effective manner, ensuring maximum participation and benefit.
Under the campaign, information related to schemes from 13 government departments is being disseminated, along with the distribution of promotional materials and literature. Folk artists and cultural groups are also contributing by spreading awareness through puppet shows and musical performances. Informational videos about various schemes are being displayed through LED vans.
During the event, the District Collector also conducted a public hearing and directed departmental officers on the spot to resolve various issues raised by villagers. He further spread awareness about the “Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar” campaign, urging people to stay away from substance abuse. He appealed to villagers to report any illegal drug activities to the police and emphasized collective action against such issues.
On this occasion, officials including Ashutosh Gupta, Zila Parishad CEO Giridhar, SDM Nayan Gautam, Superintending Engineer (Water Resources) Dheeraj Chawla, Hariram Chauhan, Assistant Director (Agriculture) Sushil Kumar Sharma, Arvindr Singh, Pankaj Saini, Dr. Ajay Singla, Dr. Satish Sharma, Dr. Arvind Mittal, BDO Bhanwarlal Swami, Adaram, Vikram Jora, other administrative officers, village-level staff, and a large number of rural residents were present.
