###Art and Craft Competition Celebrates Mother’s Day at Pacific Medical University

Udaipur: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, an Art and Craft Competition was organized for students of Pacific Medical University, where aspiring doctors and healthcare professionals took a break from academic stress to express their emotions through art and creativity. Organized with the support of Pidilite Industries, the event aimed to make the younger generation aware of the importance of mothers, their sacrifices, and unconditional love amid today’s busy lifestyle.

Competition coordinator Dr. Rahila Ghodch said that the theme of the event was “Motherhood, Love and Care.” Around 30 students from the medical, dental, physiotherapy, nursing, occupational, and allied health colleges enthusiastically participated in the competition.

Through their artwork, students beautifully portrayed how mothers shape and nurture their children’s lives. Some participants depicted a mother’s affection through paintings, while others created impressive craft items using waste materials.

In the competition, MBBS student Ashwin Patidar secured first place, Bhavya Rathore won second place, and Vanshika Mathur secured third position.

At the conclusion of the program, participants were honored with certificates and prizes by PMU President Dr. U. S. Parihar, Dean PG Dr. R. K. Paliwal, PMCH Vice Principal Dr. Monali Sonawane, Head of Biochemistry Department Dr. Neeta Sahi, and Dr. Prerna Harsh.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. U. S. Parihar said that students in the medical field remain extremely busy, but such creative events help them stay connected to their roots and emotions. He added that there can be no better medium than art to express respect and gratitude toward mothers.

During the event, Rajasthan CMDI of Pidilite Industries, Gopal Mathur, observed the artworks created by the students, appreciated their creativity, and encouraged them.

Students participating in the competition shared that such creative activities within the campus provide mental peace and relaxation. They also expressed gratitude to Pidilite Industries and the college management for giving them a platform to showcase their artistic talent.

The event was successfully coordinated with the support of PMCH HR Department members Praveen Dangi, Hemant Sain, and Laxman Gameti.
