Renewed Commitment to Animal Service, Veterinary Camps Organized

Udaipur, May 7: The Animal Husbandry Department and the Mewar Veterinary Association observed Animal Service Resolution Day on Thursday. On this occasion, veterinary camps were organized at various cowsheds, where hundreds of animals were treated. A seminar was also held at the Government Veterinary Institute, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to animal welfare and service.

President of the Mewar Veterinary Association, Dr. Shailendra Shukla, said that the birthday of Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Cow Protection Minister Joraram Kumawat was celebrated as Animal Service Resolution Day. Following the association’s call, veterinary and infertility treatment camps were successfully organized at Shivshankar Gaushala Kaladwas, Apna Ghar Gaushala Parshuram Chauraha, Mokshdham Ashok Nagar Gaushala, and Pashupatinath Gaushala Balicha.

Four separate teams led by Dr. Mahendra Mehta, Dr. Mukesh Nagauri, Dr. Ankesh Jain, Dr. Yogesh Barolia, and Dr. Karmendra Pratap conducted the camps. During the camps, 171 animals received general treatment, infertility treatment was provided to 48 animals, deworming was carried out for 207 animals, and 60 animals were vaccinated against hemorrhagic septicemia. In total, 486 animals were treated.

Health check-ups of cattle were conducted, and necessary medicines, treatments, and disease prevention advice were provided. Additional Director Dr. Suresh Kumar Jain, Deputy Director (Polyclinic) Dr. Shailendra Shukla, and Senior Veterinary Officer of the Animal Husbandry Training Institute Dr. Om Sahu inspected the camps and appreciated the efforts. Departmental officers, staff members, and cowshed managers also extended significant support during the camps.

Earlier, special prayers and worship were offered at the Pashupatinath Temple located in the Livestock Complex at Chetak Circle. Dr. Dinesh Sarada, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Meena, Dr. Vijay Mane, Dr. Ganesh Giri, Dr. D.P. Gupta, Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Rajkishore Bansal, Dr. Jeevan Goyal, Dr. Suresh Sharma, Dr. Padma Meel, Dr. Mamta Soni, Dr. Savita Meena, Santosh Sharma, Bablu Singh, Bharti Sarada, Vinod Goswami, Pandit Jitendra Sharma, and others were also present.

Meanwhile, a separate program was organized at the Government Animal Husbandry Training Institute, Udaipur, on the theme “Animal Service is Service to God – Green Rajasthan, Healthy Livestock.” The event was chaired by Additional Director Dr. Suresh Kumar Jain. Deputy Director of the institute, Dr. Dwarakaprasad Gupta, administered an oath related to livestock service to trainees and guests.

The oath emphasized kindness and compassion toward animals, following the “3-3-3” rule during the summer season, promoting 100 percent vaccination, preventing cruelty to animals, and considering animal welfare as a supreme duty. Participants also pledged to adopt the theme “Animal Service is Service to God” and contribute to livestock development.
