Udaipur: The once again demonstrated its prompt and reliable service by settling an insurance claim under the scheme within just five days and handing over the payment to the beneficiary.
The Senior Superintendent of the Udaipur Postal Division stated that the insured, late Kailash, had purchased a Rural Postal Life Insurance policy worth ₹5 lakh on November 1, 2022. Nearly three years after the policy became active, he passed away.
Following his demise, his wife, Kala Devi, submitted the insurance claim at the Head Post Office on May 2, 2026. Showing sensitivity and efficiency, the Postal Department completed all necessary formalities and handed over a cheque of ₹5,93,778, including bonus, to the beneficiary on May 7, 2026 — within just five days of claim submission.
The Superintendent added that through Rural Postal Life Insurance schemes, transparent and timely services are being provided to the public. This efficient process reflects the department’s sensitivity and commitment toward its customers.
