Fire Safety Awareness Program Organized at RNT Medical College

Udaipur: Under the directions of the State Government and as part of Fire Safety Week 2026, a fire safety awareness program and comprehensive training session was organized at under the guidance of Principal and Controller Dr. Rahul Jain. The program was coordinated and conducted by Nodal Officer Dr. Sushil Sahu.

At the beginning of the event, Principal Dr. Rahul Jain, along with Additional Principals Dr. Kushal Babu Gehlot and Dr. Kirti Singh, administered the fire safety oath to all participants. On this occasion, a message emphasizing awareness, responsibility, and institutional commitment toward fire safety was conveyed.

Addressing officers, staff members, and students present at the event, Dr. Rahul Jain stated that in highly sensitive and high-risk institutions such as hospitals, fire safety is not merely a formal procedure but a moral, professional, and institutional responsibility of every officer and employee. He emphasized that quick decision-making, alertness, and coordinated action during emergencies are crucial for ensuring the safety of human lives.

He further stated that the safety of patients, students, and staff remains the institution’s highest priority and that continuous efforts are being made to develop the medical college into a completely safe and disaster-resilient institution. He urged all officers and employees to strengthen the institution’s safety environment through regular training, mock drills, and strict compliance with safety standards.

Training Coordinator Lalit Kumar Gandharv provided participants with detailed, practical, and highly effective training on fire safety. The session included practical demonstrations and guidance on code red activation, immediate response during fire emergencies, safe and proper use of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures during smoke and fire situations, priority-based shifting of patients, and coordinated emergency response procedures.

The objective of the training session was not only to provide theoretical knowledge but also to equip every hospital officer and employee with the capability to respond quickly, systematically, and effectively during real disaster situations. Through the program, awareness, responsibility, and disaster management capabilities among participants were significantly strengthened.

Special support and active participation were provided by Fire Safety System Nodal Officer Dr. Ravindra Gehlot and his team, who played an important role in making the training practical, effective, and aligned with real-life emergency scenarios.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from heads of various departments, senior officials, doctors, nursing superintendents, students, nursing officers, office staff, nursing students, and other employees.
