Rajasthan Lacrosse Team Departs for Himachal Pradesh to Defend Title

Udaipur: The Rajasthan Lacrosse Team departed for Himachal Pradesh on Friday to participate in the 3rd National Federation Cup Lacrosse Championship, an Olympic sport event scheduled to be held from May 10 to 12 at Sundernagar, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The tournament is being jointly organized by the and the .

On the occasion of the conclusion of a 10-day intensive training camp organized at under the joint aegis of the and the Tribal Area Development Department, Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani met the players, extended her best wishes, and flagged off the team for the competition.

The Rajasthan team will participate in the tournament under the guidance of Rajasthan Lacrosse Association CEO Sajjad Khan and coach Neeraj Batra.

The men’s team will be captained by Mohanlal Gameti, while the women’s team will be led by Sunita Meena.

The team includes several talented international-level players from tribal regions of the Udaipur division, who have previously brought laurels to Rajasthan at the national level.

The Rajasthan team has been sponsored by Rajasthan Mines and Minerals Limited.

Notably, the Rajasthan team delivered outstanding performances in the previous two Federation Cup tournaments by winning gold medals in both the men’s and women’s categories. With the aim of repeating this achievement and retaining the title, the team will once again enter the competition with full confidence.

President of the Rajasthan Lacrosse Association Ashok Parnami, along with the association’s executive members, officials, and sports enthusiasts, extended their best wishes to the players and expressed confidence that the team would once again perform exceptionally and bring pride to Rajasthan at the national level.
