####International Nurses Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at PMCH
Nursing staff are the backbone of hospitals; their dedication is unparalleled
Udaipur, International Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday at Pacific Medical College & Hospital (PMCH), located at Bhilon Ka Bedla, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing. A special program was organized in the hospital premises where the nursing staff cut a cake, exchanged greetings, and reaffirmed their commitment to serving humanity.
Addressing the gathering, PMCH Chairman Rahul Agarwal extended his best wishes to all nursing personnel. Highlighting the life and contributions of Florence Nightingale, he said that her life symbolizes service and sacrifice. Agarwal stated that nursing staff are the backbone of any hospital. “Doctors prescribe treatment, but it is the nurses who deliver that treatment to patients with care, compassion, and dedication,” he said. He praised the nursing staff for their selfless service, commitment, and unbiased care towards patients. He also urged all nurses to follow the ideals of Florence Nightingale and continue giving their best in patient care and treatment.
During the program, Nursing Superintendent Bharatlal Patidar welcomed all guests and staff members. In his address, he encouraged the nursing team to achieve greater heights in the future while maintaining compassionate behavior towards patients. He remarked that an efficient nurse not only administers medicine but also eases half of a patient’s suffering through kindness and empathy.
The nursing staff participated enthusiastically in the celebration. Heads of various departments, senior doctors, and a large number of male and female nursing personnel were present on the occasion.
