Udaipur: Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation inaugurated a series of events on the occasion of “International Museum Day 2026.” This year’s programs were organized in line with the theme announced by the International Council of Museums — “Art in Dialogue: Uniting Voices.” The events emphasized communication, learning, and participation through art.
Foundation Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mayank Gupta stated that, as in previous years, a special textile painting workshop was organized this year for young girls from tribal regions on the occasion of International Museum Day. The objective of the workshop was to encourage the creative talents of the girls through art and interactive dialogue.
A total of 35 girls from Shikshantar Institute enthusiastically participated in the workshop. Artist Jaya Solanki from Ahmedabad and Divya Bangad from Chittorgarh taught the girls the finer aspects of textile painting through an interactive approach. The participants also showcased their creativity by designing attractive and colorful paintings on cloth bags.
As part of the program, the girls from Shikshantar Institute were also taken on a tour of the City Palace Museum, where they were introduced to the rich historical heritage, culture, and ancient history of Mewar.
