Logo Unveiling and Naming of Historic Assembly Gates to Mark 75th Anniversary Celebrations of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly
Jaipur: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, several special programs are being organized on the initiative of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. As part of these celebrations, the official logo of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly will be unveiled on Monday, May 18, along with the inauguration of plaques naming the historic gates of the Assembly.
Speaker Vasudev Devnani stated that the ceremony will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday in the MLA Chamber of the Assembly. Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, and all MLAs have been invited to attend the event. The ceremony will also be broadcast live on the Assembly’s YouTube channel.
A Series of Innovations in the Legislative Assembly
During the past two-and-a-half years, Speaker Vasudev Devnani has introduced a remarkable series of innovative initiatives in the Sixteenth Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, giving it a unique identity across the country and helping it emerge as one of India’s most distinguished assemblies.
In line with the identity of the Pink City Jaipur, Devnani introduced innovations in the Assembly chamber’s appearance by giving it a pink-themed design. Several other initiatives have also transformed the Assembly, including efforts to make it digital and paperless, establishment of a digital museum, Constitution Gallery, Vande Mataram Gallery, and the Jan Darshan program aimed at connecting citizens with democratic processes.
Additional initiatives such as Shaurya Vatika, Nakshatra Vatika, Herbal Garden, online attendance systems, Women’s Day celebrations within the Assembly, and the concept of a Central Hall have further enhanced the institution’s image. Improvements including increased discussion time in the House, accountability quizzes, strengthened security measures, social media influencers’ meetups, and developing the Constitution Club Rajasthan as a center for intellectual discussions have significantly elevated the Assembly’s stature and identity.
