Udaipur: The 12th Regional Tribal Talent Felicitation and All Community Teachers’ Honor Ceremony organized by Shri Mewar Vagad Malwa Janjati Samaj Sansthan was held on Sunday at Sukhadia Rangmanch. During the event, outstanding individuals from various fields including education, sports, and social service were honored with different awards.

More than 600 talented individuals from remote rural areas of Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Sirohi, Salumber, Chittorgarh, and Pali districts were felicitated during the ceremony.

The chief guest, Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi, said that wherever religious conversion takes place, it hurts faith and eventually creates division, which is harmful for society and the nation. He expressed concern over attempts to mislead youth and stated that maintaining social harmony and mutual trust is a matter of pride for the region. Referring to historical events, he said that tribal communities have always lived and fought for the motherland and have upheld the values of “Atithi Devo Bhava” and Sanatan culture. He also remarked that in ancient times, Gurukuls were primarily located in tribal regions. According to him, certain modern educational systems have weakened social discipline and cultural values. He cautioned working professionals as well, stating that some groups are now targeting employed individuals too. He emphasized that only a positive and nationalistic spirit can unite society and lead it toward progress.

He stressed the importance of preserving the community’s original identity and warned that divisive forces could become harmful in the future. He described religious conversion and “love jihad” as major threats to society and urged educated members of the community to unite collectively. He also highlighted the positive impact of initiatives by the Government of India such as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and the Dharti Aaba Tribal Advanced Village Campaign. He appealed for greater awareness for the welfare of society and noted that the awards presented by the institution are named after historical tribal heroes who continue to inspire society and strengthen its identity.

Special guest Raghuveer Singh Meena urged people to work for society beyond political interests and called for collective contribution. He said the organization was formed above political considerations. He also expressed disappointment that many tribal leaders elected with tribal votes avoid attending such programs.

Former Minister Mangilal Garasia congratulated the organizers for conducting such a meaningful event and said such programs help tribal youth move forward. Former Mayor Paras Singhal described the tribal community as hardworking and encouraged greater focus on skill development.

During the ceremony, Indian lacrosse team captain Sunita Meena, who won medals at the international level, was honored with the Shri Mangarh Dham Gaurav Award. Those who secured gold medals in university examinations or earned Ph.D. degrees received the Adi Kavi Valmiki Gaurav Award.
