12th Regional Tribal Talent Felicitation & All Community Teachers’ Honour Ceremony Organized by Shri Mewar Vagad Malwa Tribal Society Institute

Talents from education, sports, social service and several other fields honoured

Udaipur: The 12th Regional Tribal Talent Felicitation and All Community Teachers’ Honour Ceremony was organized on Sunday at Sukhadia Rangmanch by the Shri Mewar Vagad Malwa Janjati Samaj Sansthan. During the grand समारोह, outstanding talents from education, sports, social service, and various other fields were honoured with different awards.

More than 600 talented individuals from remote rural areas of Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Sirohi, Salumber, Chittorgarh, and Pali districts were felicitated during the programme.

Chief Guest and Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi stated that wherever religious conversion takes place, faith is affected, eventually leading to social division. He said such developments are not good for society or the nation. Referring to increasing concerns in tribal regions, he remarked that forces attempting to misguide youth towards violence are creating dangerous situations. He emphasized that the pride of the region lies in communal harmony and coexistence.

Highlighting historical contributions, Kharadi said tribal communities have always lived and fought for the motherland and strongly believe in the principle of “Atithi Devo Bhava.” He described Sanatan culture as a core value system and mentioned that ancient gurukuls were once located in tribal regions. He also expressed concern over educational systems that, according to him, weaken traditional cultural values and social discipline. He cautioned employed individuals against divisive influences and stressed that positive and nationalistic thinking alone can unite society and lead to progress.

Central Coordinator of the institution, Mannalal Rawat, presented the concepts of identity, existence, and development of tribal society through a PPT presentation. He emphasized the importance of preserving the community’s original identity, warning that divisive forces could otherwise become harmful in the future. He termed religious conversion and “love jihad” as major challenges for society and urged educated people to unite and work collectively. He also highlighted the positive impact of initiatives such as the Tribal Pride Day and the Dharati Aaba Tribal Advanced Village Campaign announced by the Government of India.

Special Guest Raghuveer Singh Meena urged people to rise above politics and work for social welfare. He said the organization was formed beyond political interests and expressed disappointment that many tribal leaders who gain electoral support from tribal communities often avoid attending such programmes.

Former Minister Mangilal Garasia congratulated the organizers and said such programmes help tribal youth move forward in life. Former Mayor Paras Singhal described the tribal community as hardworking and encouraged greater focus on skill development.

During the ceremony, Indian lacrosse team captain Sunita Meena, who won medals at the international level, was honoured with the Shri Mangarh Dham Gaurav Award. Students who earned university gold medals or PhD degrees received the Adi Kavi Valmiki Gaurav Award. Those selected for prestigious national and state-level services were honoured with the Mewar Veer Rana Punja Bhil Talent Award.

Students securing admission in reputed medical, management, and engineering institutions received the Veer Balak Eklavya Talent Award, while those scoring over 75 percent in secondary board examinations were honoured with the Shaheed Veer Bala Kali Bai Talent Award.

Social workers who carried out inspiring social initiatives in various districts of the region were presented with the Shaheed Nanakji Bhil Social Leadership Award. Athletes who represented at international, national, and state-level sporting events and won medals were honoured with the Padma Shri Dhanurdhar Shri Limbaram Sports Ratna Award.

Institution President Prabhulal Dendor welcomed the guests and highlighted the institution’s activities while appealing for continued support to sustain such programmes in the future.

Programme Convener Bharat Meena introduced the theme of the grand event and shared information about Beneshwar Dham, popularly known as the “Kumbh of Tribals,” which symbolizes tribal identity and heritage.

General Secretary Dr. Shankar Bamaniya spoke about the institution’s major activities and the proposed future building construction on the allotted land, where coaching facilities are planned in the coming years. A message sent by National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Chairman Antar Singh Arya, who could not attend the programme, was read out by C.B. Meena.

During the event, the institution’s annual souvenir Udaan – Ek Prerna was released. Cultural performances were also presented, along with the screening of the documentary film Gaurav Ki Rahen, prepared by the institution for career counselling purposes.
